Standard Lesotho Bank is one of the leading commercial banks in the country, offering retail banking, Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, internet banking, and a mobile banking app. As an affiliate of South Africa's Standard Bank Group, it benefits from regional technology infrastructure and offers relatively advanced digital banking services.

MCel Money is the mobile financial services platform offered by MCel, Lesotho's second largest telecom. It provides basic mobile money functionality including P2P transfers and airtime top-up, competing with Vodacom's M-Pesa. MCel is state-linked and focuses primarily on voice and basic data services, with mobile money as a secondary offering.
